Exodus 34:11-13

The Voice

¹¹ You must be careful to obey the instructions I give you today. I am about to force the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites out of the land you will inherit. ¹² Be careful. Do not make a covenant with the people who now live in the land where you are going. Any promises you make to these people could entrap you. ¹³ Destroy their altars and pillars, and cut down their sacred poles
